What is the reason for the PowerBall and similar Lottery Games? When PowerBall and games such as WV Cash 25 and other state's in state drawings came out there were lots more small winners. We play occasionally, but with lower results each time. We picked $25. worth of hand picked numbers, many not repeated on purpose as hundreds of times before, and only 6 Easy Picks. Only one number on maybe two tickets were drawn. We have played $ 50. of Easy Picks before, and only got one number on several tickets. Out of thousands of dollars spent since PowerBall inception, I have never had a PowerBall until December 3, 2006. The first few weeks of the game when new, I did get a couple of dollars. When checking stores, the machines don't give you previous weeks numbers without a hassle for the operator. Most operators no longer can enter to get numbers older than a week. The Website is not fast nor is it easy to review prior winning numbers.

WV Workers Compensation is for everyone except the injured employee. What's Worse? WV Workers Compensation and a third party insurance company or Privatized system self-insurance as they like to call them. In a particular known case of a former employee of Brown Electric Inc., the employee had injuries that the third party insurance group blocked procedures approvals which have prolonged the person's problems and injuries. Surgery is now required for the injury. The leg injury has caused stress, back injury because employee can't stoop, and loss of work because employers won't hire an injured worker. Workers Compensation has yet to pay for any prescriptions which are now turned in to the employee's private insurance. No travel mileage to Doctors, testing, hospitals, workers compensation office. Now Has Crippled the system by making it Privatized. See www.NewsWV.com

WV should thank Joe Manchin as Governor and his strong push for law reform. Now when a corporation company vehicle kills your dog, or a hospital kills your father, or a mechanical defect in an appliance cuts your hand open, there is no recourse in West Virginia. If the case isn't of an important person, but just some hardworking citizen there is no means of Justice. Yet, two people can claim McDonald's caused a food allergy to ther son, and brother because they ordered a cheeseburger without the cheese, and it came with cheese on it. Yea Thanks Joe, They filed that on ein West Virginia for $ 10 Million because the Mother and Sister put their lives at risk driving him to the hospital at speeds of 100 mile per hour. The filing was allowed. I want to sue because they put my life at risk driving by me at 100 miles per hour. Naw, I ain't going to sue McDonalds, I want the suit found againest the idiots who ordered a cheeseburger without The Cheese. This is why there is: www.Lawright.org

Earlier the week of Sept. 30, 2005, Wonderful President George W. Bush just applied pressure to his foot and it slipped into his mouth. What he was asking America to do, on Wednesday, was to conserve fuel. Don't take unnecessary trips. Make your trips count! In the very next minute, in the next news clip, it was described how President Bush would be flying over Texas and Louisiana, and stopping in several cities. He considers That a trip that is necessary. He didn't change Lousiana, or Katrina. Thousands of gallons of fuel for what, an ego trip? His flying to a city in any state, or even the area, didn't help not one person affected by either storm.

What happened to the hydrogen and other vehicles that GM and other car companies said would have a place in the world if fuel prices went over $2.00. Now the price is $3.00, and no real talk of those cars has been heard by this writer. Only a bigger push has occurred for the hybrids recently. There are some high efficiency means for fueled cars, but there would be suffrage to environmental standards. I am for alternate power assemblies to drop in existing vehicles now!

West Virginia Law is so poor, and unclear that even seasoned Magistrate(s) mis-interpret the law. Or, do they get it wrong intentionally, to help Waste Management of WV Inc.? YES! The Magistrate gave a dismissal without discussion or hearing the case as soon as we were seated at the appointed hearing July 1, 2005. Dismissal requested by Defense for Waste Management, based that The Puppy (dog) of 7 weeks age was not registered for tax purposes, when the driver of the Waste Management truck backed onto private property, and almost killed it upon leaving. The puppy was playing on the drivers feet and the driver was called out to, and told to wait until a person could get their shoes on, and get the pup. The driver jumped in the truck, after kicking pup out of way, pulled out running over pup and committing serious injury. The driver stopped 200 yards away and then backed up. He was asked to help with the wailing pup. The pup was in so much pain. The owner ran in to get towels, returning and found driver had left. The pup was saved by a local veterinarian at Cross Lanes Veterinary. When Waste Management was contacted about insurance for damages, pup owner was informed according to Gen. Mgr. that Waste Mgmnt. was protected by WV State Law. The Gen Mgr. refused to take a report in three different conversations, two calls by dog owner, and his call to owner several weeks later, when a letter was sent to Corporate Offices in Texas, prompted them to acknowledge the company and driver's Liability, and contact their insurance. General Manager statements at that time was there was No insurance, because the State of WV didn't require it. Later, that was their first defense to the Kanawha County Magistrate Court in April 2005, in the first request for dismissal. The week prior to July 1, 2005 Court Date, Defense made another request for dismissal and was based on WV Code 19.20.12 stating that a dog must be registered for a suit to be valid. The first sentence in short says: 'Any dog which is registered kept and controlled as provided in this Article OR any dog, cat or other animal, owned, kept, and maintained as a pet, irrespective of age shall be protected by law.' The Defendant Law firm asked immediately for dismissal without further delay based on that sentence, and the Magistrate so granted dismissal remarking that the animal must be registered, and allowed no further discussion. The Sentence of Article Quoted, states OR dog, cat, or other animal maintained as a pet. The Magistrate wouldn't hear of argument to the fact, because the Defense Attorney had got up, dragged the manager, and quickly left the room. The Magistrate said by law, she couldn't discuss it further without Defense present. The Magistrate said I was free to refile if I wished. WV Code Article 19.20.1, says a dog does not have to be registered until 6 months. Talking with no less than 5 attorney afterwards in various communities of law agreed the Magistrate mis-interpretated law. We are left again to appeal Magistrate's decision to dismiss, and after researching would be required to put up bond equal to amount to recover. Then it would go up to a Circuit Court Judge to over rule dismiss and send it back to the same Magistrate, and Circuit Court Judge wouldn't even hear case. What we did find that no action was taken on an earlier request to the Magistrate to remand case up to Circuit Court, which the Magistrate bypassed. Also found that last Motion and Argument sent to Courthouse July 24, 2005 didn't make it to the Courthouse, and we can't get an answer from the Attorney for Defense if they got their copy. It wasn't registered or Certified which we now recommend for every Court mailed item from now on, if it is critical to your case.
Now it is believed that all hearings should be videotaped, if noCourt Reporter is present, or at least audio recordings of all parts of the proceedings. The Above arcticle relates as to how close WV Magistrates can maintain Kangaroo Court! Reason again: www.LawRight.org

Fuel prices are going up, but fuel mileage is going down! At first I noticed my Mercury Sable Mileage went from 22-25 mpg to 15 mpg. It was running no different. We were using air conditioning, but less than normal. Also I was not sitting and idling for an hour as sometimes occurred, but never got less than 20 mpg when I did. Then we noticed my wife's 98 Pontiac Bonneville at same time dropped 5 mpg. She doesn't run the air and never lets the car idle. My 1995 Chevrolet Truck dropped 5 mpg, and it never dropped more than 2 mpg, and usually on change of fuel. Talked to my son July 2, 2005, and his Z24 dropped 8 mpg. My truck never drops unless I change fuel. Hhmmm, could it be the fuel isn't up to snuff? I changed from 87 octane to 89 octane for every day since June 30, 2005, filling up everyday, with 16 mpg. Friday with Heavy A/C, Friday with moderate A/C, and Saturday with no A/C used. 16 mpg everytime. The car's computer will make up for poor fuel but at the expense of amount used. It is believed with all 4 vehicles, and talking to others whom are experiencing the same effect, that something is wrong with the fuel. It is believed they all can't be that fuel is stolen, and in one daily test, truck was parked with gas access against Mercury and the access door for the car alongside truck. Impossible for fuel to be taken. In the production of Gasoline, additives are added to improve performance, but with prices up, that might be reduced or eliminated, or simply octane allowed to vary. We will see. Nothing will be done to the vehicles to wait and see if mpg raises in next week as a contant to the control ofthe experiment. Fuel Mileages are still bouncing with every fill-up. Several weeks after prices dropped back to $ 2.799, then fuel mileage got better in all vehicles.
StoryLine©News:(this story may be copied and reprinted with reference to source of NewscellUSA.com) There has been talk of raising Federal minimum wage in the Spring of 2005. Then it has gotten quiet. Raising minimum wage, makes other employees want to seek higher wages, which overall benefits the government, because increase in wages means an increase in tax income. 100 million people pay $1.00 more each in an annual tax increase, and the Government has received $100,000,000.00 Dollars! What we need is a level established for part-time employees. Employees, that employers only work ten to twenty hours average. Stipulate, that anyone working 36 or less hours a week shall receive $1.00 hourly wage increase for every four hour increment less than 40 hours. A 32 hour week would be a rate of $2.00 more than minimum wage. A person at minimum wage working 32 hours would receive $7.15 per hour pay. A person receiving 28 hours or less would make $8.15 per hour. This would offset lack of hours and help persons secure insurance, education and pension for their families, if retirement in fact, is on the agenda of the current administration. This would also stop employers who avoid working employees fulltime for the company's benefit only.

StoryLine©News:(this story may be copied and reprinted with reference to source of NewscellUSA.com) In the case of a school locally in West Virginia within 14 mile of the Capitol , built as the last new school with Bond Money in districts, less than 20 years old, was closed because it could create a savings. The Kanawha County School Board in West Virginia, in 1992, built a building with the same number of rooms onto a building 40 years old at another local school. Then added portables for overflow that were to be removed in two years. 15 years later, the portables are still there, with school building additions yearly. The original change required purchasing additional buses to move students from the first school area. There was pro-active talk, that eliminating the one school would save $40,000. a year in a principal position of a school, but then the Board hired an assistant principal at the second school at $45,000. because of the additional students. We believe that the school board spends as much or more per year than before. The story continues as Friday Jan. 27, 2006 the portables will be removed and students squeezed into main building because of mold. Several classrooms will be musical rooms as one set of students is moved repeatedly on the floorplan. Why did all the students in main bldg have to be displaced to bring 4 rooms of kids inside at Point Harmony in Cross Lanes, WV.

The morning of 05/13/05, it was announced in the news that President Bush was changing his agenda on Social Security to take Social Security Benefits away from people who have private retirement accounts or private pensions. This was from headline news of The Today Show. November 2007 this writer received the Annual Social Security Statement and it was stated that Rules were being contended to Not Pay Social Security Benefits to those persons having other retirement pensions. Already in effect for Federal Government employees
